The HHF - or the Historic Housing Foundation - is a unique nonprofit whose volunteers support numerous projects - and provide the necessary funding to preserve and maintain the Delta Chi Chapter House at the University of Minnesota.
This historic Fraternity Chapter House has a rich history dating back over 100 years - and is an integral part of the University of Minnesota campus and community. Without donations and support from individuals like you, we could not sustain this essential facility.
Your donations help ensure that future generations of students can experience this historical house's unique charm - while also fostering a sense of community and tradition among its members.
Join us today in preserving this treasured landmark by supporting the HHF.
Brick-By-Brick
Our Brick-By-Brick campaign originally started to repair the damage nearly 100 years of Minnesota weather inflicted upon the bricks of our historic build at 1601 University.
During this first phase over 50 contributors raised over $75,000 to complete a complete revitalization of the historic bricks on 3 sides of the building and the entire chimney.
As substantial as this work was, we did not complete the project. We need to finish the remaining side, rebuild and repair the porch wall, and repair the walls near the sidewalks.
We need to finish the work with your support. Our goal is to raise $60,000 for this work and we are off to a strong start!
Act now and make your contribution to the preservation of a part of Minneapolis and University of Minnesota history!
To recognize and celebrate our donors, we are going to design commemorative bricks that will be placed on site upon completion of the project.
We are evaluating the cost and feasibility of an option that would use actual etched bricks built into the back of the porch wall as well as an option that would be more of a plaque and mounted inside the building. we
